BBFL was opened to provide free access to books for all. The library also promotes educational programs that bring the Thai and Expat communities together.

BBFL, funded by donations, offers free access to more than 16,000 books in multiple languages, such as English, Thai, Chinese, French, and more.

Starting out in 2013 at an open-air shack, BBFL moved to its current Thai house location in 2018.The library is located in a 2-story house, on Soi Prasert Issaram, Nonthaburi, northwest of Bangkok. 

The library has more than 2,000 members, all of whom enjoy the privilege of borrowing books for free.
